Just noticed the icon was gone. In past I have used Virtual Technician to find and repair problems. I tried to download the VT Installer and it says it can't open it. Something is very wrong. Something is preventing me from trying to fix this. Something is in my machine. Should I Uninstall McAfee completely and try to download it again? Where do I go to try to download Total Protection again?

If the service is not running, then you can start it manually. Go to Start > Run > services.msc. Locate the McAfee services in the list then right click them and choose Properties. Make sure that the service is set up to Automatic start. Secondly, press on Start button to start the service. Normally, these services shouldn't be turned off, but as soon as it starts, you should start a full computer scan to avoid any infections from malware.

It doesn't matter if all the McAfee related products have been removed from your PC. McAfee Virtual Technician collects information about various services, installed apps, and settings to send them to McAfee Support Center. Based on that information, a support technician will assist you with various problems that you might encounter.
We have renewed our subscription but the application icon is not appearing in the right corner of our computer screen. We cannot verify the subscription. Can you help?

First, make sure that you have followed the steps provided by McAfee when you renewed the subscription. After that, right-click on the Windows taskbar, select Properties, click the Taskbar tab and select Customize from Notification area. Locate the McAfee product, select it and set Show icon and notifications as Behavior. If it doesn't help, uninstall the program and then install it again. This should fix it.
